yeah -- also, havent we been saying that about the Cubs since when, the turn of the century - ahhh, the first one, not the one that just past.

In all honestly, i thought it was a fluke that they made it to the Super Bowl last year. We were "good" but not super bowl quality. oh well.

It is more like get an almost a new entire offensive line. That would be the first place to start. Fred Miller? He could not block a third grader.

Yeah, I always thought it a little unfair that Grossman got so much heat for bad decision-making under pressure. Well he wouldn't have the opportunity to make so many bad decisions if there weren't a lineman on top of him on every down before the center was done snapping him the ball. How much better were the results when he took 83 sacks against the Giants instead of throwing the ball up for grabs?

Sign a frickin' free agent RB too. The Bears have not been able to judge RB's through the draft since-dare I say Neal Anderson-but Walter Payton for sure. We need better receivers too. Guys that will fight for the ball.

Default Chicago Bears

I have to let out my frustration on the Bears, But I am a DIE HARD fan! I knew getting rid of Cris Harris was a very STUPID move!!!!! Stupid to get rid of your recievers also, but Cris was a Asset!! He single handed beat the Bears this year (Panthers vs Bears). Now Mike Brown is Hurt...AGAIN!! Should i be the GM?

We still have a decent lineup, no need to worry. ;-) Now if Orton could throw the ball a bit better, we'd be good as "Gould".

Well we still need receivers that can actually get separation and do not drop many passes as well.

Very true - our receiving corps is without question the worst in the NFL. After the 5 or 6 games of the season where our offense looked pretty good, we've regressed back to the anemic offense of the past couple of years. I also don't understand why our defense stops bringing pressure on the opposing QB on 3rd-and-long and then we get burned on stupid dump passes in the middle of the field that turn into 15-yard gains. The fact that this team has a 9-6 record and still alive for a playoff spot is a testament to the overwhelming mediocrity of the NFC. (Look at the NFC West - yikes!) The Bears will give me a heart attack in some fashion by the end of Sunday afternoon.

Bears have an unathletic secondary, and they always get burned.

The Bears need to dump their receivers and secondary, although Steltz is looking promising and the Bears have a good TE in Olsen.

The D and O lines need major work as well.
