Hi,

I was wondering which place is more affordable when it comes to getting routine STD tests (and treatments if necessary) between Howard Brown Health and AHF (AIDS Health Foundation) in Chicago? Both places were recommended by the STD hotline. Please share your experience.

Thanks.

I do not have any personal experience and I do not know what AHF is. However, I know that Howard Brown Health has a sliding scale policy and takes all insurances. If you are uninsured, you might also consider Cook County Health. If you are LGBT, Cook County Health practitioners will likely not have specific training the way that Howard Brown staff will. You might also consider that when considering your options.
