Buddybeth is on a distinguished road
Default Depaul Human Services and Counseling Program

I've been accepted into Depaul's Student Affairs Counseling Master's program. I applied to many student affairs programs throughout the country, but because I do not have a background in education I did not get in. I was wondering if anyone has attended Depaul for a graduate program in the School of Education. What was your experience? Did you feel that your education was worth the high tuition? I'm struggling to decide if I should take out the loans to make this happen. The field I'm trying to go into isn't very high paying so it's a big decision. Any advice would be appreciated. Even if you went to Depaul for another graduate program, did you enjoy your experience?

If you have the desire to combine your time in the Counseling program with course work to get a job as a school administrator this could prove far more lucrative. While there is a 'winnowing' process if you the drive to pursue a job as Superintend this could be every bit as lucrative as being CEO of a mid-sized commercial firm...

DePaul grants more graduate degrees than any other School of Education in the area. Great place to make connections in education, especially in the evening classes. Chicago area schools have good regard for the programs for teachers and administrators.

What do you a background in?
