Safe Neighborhoods in Chicago (Addison, Lincoln: crime, murders, park)

Your last post got me thinking. What are the safe neighborhoods in Chicago? You cab even break it down by a few blocks as there are certainly neighborhoods as a whole that are not safe while some blocks within these neighborhoods may be safe.

Here are the obvious ones (and I know random rapes and murders can happen anywhere and that no area is immune from crime).

Lincoln Park
Lakeview
Bucktown
Wicker Park
River North
Andersonville
Roscoe Village
Jefferson Park
Edison Park
Much of Galewood
Irving Park

Please, others include those you think are safe and I understand what one person considers safe may not be what another does.

Maybe Old Irving Park. The eastern edge of Irving Park still has some gang issues, especially the part between Irving and Montrose.

The southwestern part of the Irving Park community does have a problem as well.

I see that Jefferson Park is on the list, but Portage Park is not. Are you concerned with stuff south of Addison? I checked the crime blotter, but only found a couple of armed robberies.
