I believe that's Little Village. Regardless of what neighborhood it's in, it's not a particularly nice/safe area.

cook county jail
26th and california is cook count jail, so you would be within walking distance of the riff raff that hangs out around there.
Also as Drover noted it is pretty industrial around there, not exactly a top notch residential area.

Yeah a ghetto hospital named Mount Sinai that I have been in many times; most health care workers hate that place.As soon as they can get out of having to work there, they do. |
