Default What is Chicago's marketing/advertising/publishing job market like right now?

Does anyone out there work in one of these fields? I'm hoping to move to Chicago this fall and would really like to get a decent paying job there, preferably in one of the industries listed above so that I could actually use my BA in English. Any thoughts on how the job market is right now?

My wife is in this field.

Firms that deal with "new media", i.e. the web, are doing quite well right now. Print, TV, and radio seem to be in decline.

If you're looking for a job as a copywriter, there are many freelance gigs available in Chicago. Madison Avenue is where the advertising money is, but most of the creative work is done in Chicago these days. There are literally thousands of jobs in these industries in Chicago.
