KSML is on a distinguished road
Default Before I sign the lease... Ravenswood?

I went out with the Apartment People yesterday and found an apartment that was in an area I hadn't considered before. After I came back to Michigan, I read the threads on the area and I've done a bit of research. I got notice that my application was approved and all that's left to do is sign the lease.

The apartment is in the 4500 block of N. Paulina (Near Sunnyside Ave).

After viewing that apartment, I kept an appointment to see another place which was advertised to be in Wrigleyville, near the corner of Ashland and Grace. The apartment was suitable (though there was one big downfall: no in building laundry).

I preferred the first apartment however the second would be workable as well. Any reason that one neighborhood would be better than the other?

All else being equal (and in this case it practically is), take the apartment you like better. Plus you have better transportation access at Paulina/Sunnyside with both Metra and L stations just a couple blocks away.

Not to mention it's a real stretch to call Ashland and Grace "Wrigleyville" and I don't like doing business with people who lie to me.

I think that is still in the "no nightgame parking" zone, so the apartment agent is not pulling too much on the truth...

Either neighborhood has pluses & minuses, really comes down to personal preference. If you were buying there might be some different issues, but for renting either should work fine.

No matter where the "no nightgame parking" zone is, nobody considers Ashland Avenue part of Wrigleyville except realtors and property managers.
