Default Need Advice on Apartment In Ukrainian Village

I am interested in renting a 2 bedroom apartment near the intersection of Chicago Ave. and Wolcott in the Ukrainian Village/Wicker Park area. The rent is $1200 with nothing included. It is on the first floor, has hardwood floors and an updated kitchen and bath. I am moving from Michigan and do not know much about the price ranges for this area. Is this reasonable or not? I would really like to get the opinion of people from the area. Thanks.

Sounds pretty good to me.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the response. I have to move in 2 weeks and really like the place but I don't know much about pricing in the area.

Not bad at all. But I guess it depends on the condition/size of the apartment.

There are places going for that rent in that area that are dumps, so if you've seen the place and it looks good to you I'd say it's a good deal. This is based on my recent experiences looking at a lot of places in Wicker Park for my daughters.

I guess it depends how updated the apartment is. I'm paying that for a 2 bedroom on the 2nd floor in the heart of Wicker Park (and I looked at many other places in the area), so I'm actually inclined to say it's overpriced.

Too much unless it was recently redone and/or has a dishwasher and laundry facilities.
The heat bill is going to kill you in the winter.
