Lawrence is one stop north (not Argyle), and it will just expose you to more trouble to walk there. Sheridan is one stop south, and there is a big cemetary in the way--so you'd still have to walk past the Wilson stop anyway. You're just going to have to get used to Wilson or take the bus (if you're close to Clark you could always take the Clark bus south to the Addison Red Line, but that would be a lot of extra trouble).

There is still gang trouble west of Broadway due to a few problem buildings dotted throughout "Sheridan Park". It's just enough to be annoying. If you want to know what's going on in the neighborhood, check out Uptown Update (Uptown Update)

And don't forget: because school is out too. And a good chunk of this city's violent crime is committed by CPS students who turn out to be angelic little cherubs who are "good kids who have never been in trouble before, in fact he was dreaming of going to college" before they end up in the back of a mookwagon.

ChristopherBearkat is on a distinguished road
I know, I know, I admit it

My move-date got pushed back till the fall and so I was going to look around some more, but then my move-date got pushed up again. I signed a short-lease, so I may end up moving again to a better neighborhood.

(Actually, the other reason I why I took it is because apartments were much more expensive some of the other areas I was looking at online... )

As of late, that phrase has been used to describe the victims. So many real honor students, college-bound athletes, and plain normal kids have been killed in the past year. It's hard to keep track and I know that many just don't care to distinguish, but it's truly sad.
