Hi I'm from Valencia, Spain and have just discovered an old picture of the Spanish Pavillion in the World's Columbian Exposition 1893. It was a beautiful reproduction of a fine building from my city (called La Lonja) built in the XV-XVIth century! Does anyone know if it still exists? You can see the old picture here:

I do not think so but...
It depends where it was located. The building does look very close to a building I have been to many times on the University of Chicago campus. It might be the same one.

I think I read where all of the other buildings were burnt to the ground after the exposition except for what is now MSI.

Some burnt down but most of the buildings were only temperate which is how they built everything so fast.

Most of the buildings were made out of plaster and then removed later, so I doubt it is still there. It was beautiful though!

No, there's nothing left at all exept the statue and the Museum of Science of Industry. There hasn't been for over 115 years.

It was all built temporary except the current museum building because it was the art pavillion and they of course couldn't house the priceless artifacts in a wooden building prone to fire.

But by the University of Chicago there is that statue that is a scaled down replica that looked over the Columbian Exposition. I think they were asking about that.

The pictures actually resemble Bond Chapel on the U of C campus. But that building does not date from the Exposition.
