Cab Companies--Any numbers/recommendations?
OK so I'm going to be at 21st and State tommorrow night and need a cab to get back to the train station to go back to the boring suburbs. Any cab companies (with numbers please) you'd recommend, and if possible, price estimation? And I would probably be taking the cab around like 9-10pm is that makes a difference.
Thanks.

Totally depends on the burb, but it's not going to be cheap! Is the metra not an option? I had a friend who would take a cab between Northwestern (evanston) and downtown at $50 a pop....

I prefer American-United Cab (773) 248-7600 when I need to call a cab on the North Side. I do not know if they usually have that many cabs in the area you are going to be in though.
So go with Yellow Cab (312) 829-4222
or Checker (877) 888-8294.
They are both headquartered in the area you will be in as well as being the two largest companies in Chicago as well as the oldest I believe.

haha dude i'm going to the same show as you. STOKED.
I'll probably walk back to the red line and just ride it home, but I'll have a friend with me. A lot of people usually do walk back to the train when they leave the shows (the only time I've ever had to call a cab from there was when I stayed to talk to a friend in a band and stayed after everyone had left), and if you're going to Union Station, you could just transfer to the blue line at Jackson...
If you really want to cab it, I second Yellow Cab. A ride back to Union Station won't be more than 20 bucks.

ahhhh, I just realized that I didn't read this carefully. I thought you were asking how much to take a cab to the suburb!!!
Sorry!
