Dollar menu?
I was suggesting that you MIGHT get a nice lunch/ late in the day meal for $40 for the both of you. Dinner will cost much more!
Now if you want, aragx6 can give you directions to Olive Garden...
You cannot be serious about a dollar menu on your honeymoon, I mean I can be something of cheapskate but this is supposed to be the most special time for you and the person you most love in the whole world
Maybe we could chip in get you a McMealMcCard for a wedding present.

Seriously.
If you're on a budget, by some groceries and have a picnic on the lawn in Millenium Park or something.
By the way, this is annoying me. You are staying at a hotel, not a motel.

Yes, McDonald's dollar menu is in Chicago too. It's been awhile for me but McDonald's on State St and Michigan Ave as well. If you go to Sears Tower there is a McDonald's at Wells and Adams (if they moved it someone let us know) and another in Union Station. You won't have much trouble finding them.
There is also a hot dog joint in Union Station...can't remember the name though I used to eat lunch there all the time. Someone help me with the name please!

Is the Chinatown in Chicago like the one in NYC that sells the knock-off purses? My fiancé loves those lol

Francesca's, Rosal's, Gennaro's and Tufano's are the lower-costing ones on Taylor Street (aka Little Italy), although I think Rosal's is too pricey. Tufano's is the least pricey, probably because its not on Taylor Street itself.
La Scarola on Grand is also quite reasonable, its near the L, and the grilled calamari appetizer is (dare I say it?) better than any clalmari I've ever gotten in Greektown.

Hey guys, please don't get agree with me about the low-budget lunch ideas. My fiancé and I are both college students on a budget. I don't see nothing wrong with eating low-cost lunches and pretty nice meals for dinner. What is the Chinatown like in Chicago? Do they have the rip-off purses like in NYC? The lady wants to know.

I don't see anything wrong w/ eating cheap on your honeymoon, don't know why everyone is jumping on you for making that decision! just do what you need to do and don't spend more money than needed and don't feel like you have to spend large wads of cash to have a good time. but yeah, the Mickey D's here have the dollar menu. I've always wanted to take one of those dinner cruises. not sure how much they cost, or if the food would be not that great, but it might be worth checking out

Chicago's Chinatown is far less extensive that NYC, but yes there are a few places with knock off purses.
I'm telling ya, get a decent breakfast a little late ( I assume you are going to want to spend morning in bed..) have a nice late lunch and then if you want a romantic little snack with a drink late a night you will be way better off money wise. You really should rethink the dollar menu. If you were vacationing in Knoxville I could maybe see it, but Chicago has some incredible resturatants with sky high dinner prices...

If its a mutual decision to go cheap, then more power to you!
Chinatown is pretty cool I guess. Not sure about the purse thing....

Cheap lunches can also include some of the fast food type places around here like
Portillo's (which has great Chicago-style hot dogs) You could easily eat there for less than $12 total.
