Default art schools in chicago

hello, i will most likely be moving to chicago soon and am looking to take some continuing ed art classes. i've found columbia and the art institute of chicago. anyone know how these two compare or of any other schools?

Really depends what sort of "art" you are talking about. The School of the Art Institute is a pretty high-powered lofty place for many disciplines, but when it comes to film and some other specialties Columbia has some strengths. Very different depending on what your goals/needs are...

Yeah, I am also interested in continuing ed art classes in Chicago. I have a BS in urban planning and an art minor. I am looking to develop my portfolio in drawing and painting and apply to MFA programs. Any tips will be greatly appreciated! Prices for classes will be a plus. Thanks.

Also- How is the job market in Chicago?
