Yes, but then we dont get free pets that come with that heat and humidity, cockroaches the size of my dog. AND we are missing out of employing thousands of workers in a profession Chicago has little of -we had a 'bug man' in Houston, that came to spray the house every 4 weeks.

I would if I could. I'm kind of trapped for now.

Yes, Illinois offers great places to live. But Chicago itself is overrated IMO, and the surrounding suburbs near it are boring.

I am looking at the St. Charles area as a possible place to move. I also like it out east towards the Mokena area.

I hate to tell you this, but suburbs EVERYWHERE are boring. It's in their nature.

Oh, I know there are some really UNboring suburbs out there, like Cambridge, MA or Palo Alto, CA, but those are exceptional suburbs.

There are plenty of places to find "southern cooking, cajun/creole food, tex-mex/a decent margarita, Central American cuisine in Chicago."

Yeah I bet you can find real Greek or Italian food for example in Houston. LMAO.

Have fun. I am sure you will be less bored out there.
