First of all thank you for taking the time to look at my post. I'm currently scheduled to make a move to Chicago on Sept 1st. I'm trying to find a one bedroom apartment for about 1500 a month but this could go as high as 1700 if some utilities are included. As I would prefer to be close to the "L" where would one recommend staying( I work on 525 W Monroe)? I'm currently 25 single male. I plan on bringing my car with me but would only truly need it on weekends. How hard is it to find parking? From my research I've seen spaces run about 200 a month. Is there anything cheaper? Has anyone here had much success with the apartment finding services? If so please list a name and contact number.

Thanks again!

You could try looking at Presidential Towers. It's at 555 W Madison, so the apartments are extremely close to where you work. One bedroom apartments are about $1400, but no utilities are inlcluded.

I dont understand why you are willing to pay 1500-2000 a month for an apartment with utilities ,but are trying to find less than 200 a month for parking.

I would also think that you wouldn't be used to paying 1500 for a 1 bedroom! You can really live anywhere in the city for that price. I would definitely not choose presidential towers (you can search this forum for more info about that) and would review some of the neighborhoods/posts in the first post of this forum
