Default Rosemont blue line station

I have a wedding to go to this Saturday at the Rosemont Hyatt and I plan on taking the blue line to the Rosemont station. Does anyone know if cabs are readily available? I'm thinking this would be the cheapest way instead of taking a cab from Wicker Park. Thanks!

Not sure, but there are about a million cabs a few stops later at O'Hare! If you get stranded, you can always just head up that way.

Not sure cabs will be too readily available on a weekend. Furthermore, you might want to check that the train is actually running to Rosemont. It is very common that the train stops at Jefferson Park on weekends because of track work.

Caramelboo is on a distinguished road
Hi,

I was just in Chicago this past Labor Day weekend and I stayed at a hotel near the Rosemont Station, which I used to get into the city. I remember seeing a couple of taxi vans parked out in front.

If it's the Hyatt Regency, that's right next to the Rosemont stop - a five minute walk. However, the weekend closures are now between Irving and Jefferson Park. So you'll have to get out at Irving, take a shuttle bus to Jeff Park, reboard the blue line and onto Rosemont.

I've found the CTA has done a pretty reasonable job minimizing the delays on the shuttle buses all things considered, but it will definately add time and inconvienence to your trip. If there's no traffic, it's about a $25 cab ride.

Thanks guys for all of the responses! Looks like I'll take the blue line including the shuttle and walk to the hotel to save some dinero, and probably go for a cab ride for the way back. Thanks for the responses!
