I think you ought to examine your prospective living area in the day and evening and hopefully on a weekend before you get yourself into a year's committment with a lease. $750 for 2 bedrooms may seem like a bargain but, with some glaring exceptions, for the most part you get what you pay for with your rental dollars.

However, some areas may be worth more to you due to their proximity to work or transportation or school. Take a weekend and tour the city and visit all the blocks where you have circled likely rentals.

Will do that. I am going to view one of the condo's this Thursday while I am there and if I have time, I will try to make an appointment to see this 2 bedroom too.

You are definitely right about the proximity. I think it would still be okay for the commute and to get my daughter into a decent public school.
