People will think you're a brat for sure. But who cares? You've got a Bentley, after all! And the people thinking you're a brat will be over-tired under-paid architects in Honda Civics glaring at you from behind their trendy glasses that mask the fact that they can't afford fashionable clothes beyond your typical mall store stuff.

Bentley drivers
Typically, Bentley drivers are middle aged to older white men and women. I have actually seen Bentleys in the Austin neighborhood, though I question how the funds were raised to buy them. I have seen some black people driving Bentleys in the Gold Coast as well as some Asians. You will definitely see more Bentley Continentals than Ferraris or Lambos, but you will occasionally see them as well in the city in areas like the Gold Coast.
Anyone driving a Bentley who is 24 years old most likely had help buying the car unless they are some dot com millionaire. Anytime a 24 year old is driving around in an expensive car, whether it be $100K Mercedes or $200K Bentley they will be perceived as a rich brat whose father has money.
How did you purchase your car?

Sugarrgurrl, I don't hang around the Gold Coast and I drive a Hyundai, so I may not be the right person to answer this, but yeah, I kinda think some people would think that. Of course others will be wildly impressed. I think in general people in Chicago are less about the car you drive.

Well to be honest, its not like Bentley's stick out. Most people, beyond those who know anything about cars, wont even notice what it is. Eveyrone has heard of them, but pointing one out on the street? You wont have anything to worry about. And if people think youre a snob, so what?

Bentleys are as rare as air molecules around here.
OK, maybe not that rare -- this isn't Malibu or anything. But you won't exactly have people dropping their jaw as you drive by either, especially in the Gold Coast where there's a bunch of money floating around. Plenty of your neighbors will have one too.
Nonetheless, I'd make sure you have a garage spot to park it in. If you leave it parked on the street all the time, spiteful creeps will mess with it just to be spiteful creeps. I had a Porsche that I ditched before moving to the city in large measure because I knew I couldn't count on people to leave it alone just because it was a Porsche, even though it was only worth about 4 grand (though idiot spiteful creeps probably wouldn't know that).

You are really making a big deal out of this. Seriously, Bentley is very commonplace in Lincoln Park. I saw young ppl drive them all the time. take a walk on n lakeview near Belden straford, you get to see lots of em.

Good news is modern Bentleys are AWD.

Close -- 924S. Mechanically identical to a 944 but with the 924 body style, so no flared wheel fenders.
