What is with these apocalyptic threads lately??

What if your homeless because of another great depression?
What if a race riot like LA/Rodney King breaks out in Chicago?

Come in off the ledge people, it's a beautiful world.

^ The thread is two years old-but it was the best thread to put my post in. I did not want to make a new thread. ^

I've never been busier and never made more money and have never had my services, knowledge and abilities more in demand than they are now. Things are so good right now I wish there were two of me.

I'll let you know in 2 months, when my savings runs out (I'm unemployed). Strangely enough I don't qualify for unemployment...maybe I should pop out 5 kids!

I hope that you have family nearby...or a retirement account that you can dip into..or both.

The original post reminds me of how scary things were two years ago. It wasn't crazy to think that everything could just go down the tubes overnight at that time. There are still major problems with the economy (obviously), but it seems like things have stabilized and the threat of an economic implosion have receded by quite a bit. Things need to get better, but thank God we aren't in a free fall anymore.

Either way, I have a fortified compound in Indiana and an escape route if need be.
