Default millenium park vs. grant park

Random question:

What is the technical distinction between Millenium Park and Grant Park? I mean I can tell you that Millenium Park is the north side of a larger Grand Park, and it's around where the amphitheater is close to Michigan and Jackson, but what are the true boundaries of Millenium Park? Does it have official ones?

In reality Millenium Park is just an extension of Grant Park, but it was easier to get people excited about it if they branded it as something new.
