Just saw this article on Forbes which names the world's next 10 most influential cities. China has 4 cities on the list, shanghai being number 1.

I am pretty sure Shanghai becoming an Alpha city would not all of the sudden make Chicago a Beta city. There would just be another Alpha city.

I know a couple of people really well that have lived in China, Japan, and Korea. The stories are so horrid I do not think I even want to visit any of those places.

Y is that? I have been to Hong Kong and Tokyo. Both are clean and modern metropolis, more cosmopolitan than chicago in fact
