Sad. He could be long winded at times, but I guess when you have lived a life as full as his, its hard not to.

He lived a couple of blocks from me in Buena Park. I always hoped to run into him on the street, but it never happened. There's a video of him walking around Uptown making commments in the 1980s, but I can't seem to find it on Youtube.

That sucks. I had recently heard some old radio shows dealing with music which I had never heard before. He was a master of the broadcast.

I love his book that's just simply titled "Chicago." I checked it out of the library and read the whole thing while sitting at the lake. RIP.
