I'm looking to break my lease around the coming springtime (Another issue I'm dwelling in right now), so my eyes are set on finding another place. Can anyone provide resources where I can find city apartments that are available more than, say, 6 months from now?

^^Not 6 months in advance.

Honestly, 6 months in advance you won't find anything. Even 3 months in advance you won't.

You won't find anything more than 2 months in advance at most. Maybe 6 weeks.

It is slightly possible. Call as many management and leasing companies as you can and ask. That is what I would do if I was in your shoes.
