Default Few hours to burn up @Union Station

I have a train "layover" of about 6 hours at Union Station (I arrive around 3:30pm, depart around 10:00pm).

What should I do/go see with my short time in Downtown Chicago? My only requirement is that it be in walking distance from the station (and I like to walk, so there can be some distance as long as it is not raining).

Any areas I should avoid wandering in to?

Thanks!

Lots of things!

Some ideas:

- Sears tower tour (Less than 5 minute walk)

- Shopping in State Street/Michigan Ave (About 10-15 minute walk to state street)

- Visit the Art Institute Museum (15 minute walking)

- Go see a play (Theather district is around Lake and State, about 20 minute walking)

- Millenium Park/Grant park (23 minutes to Grant Park)
-

Another thing to do is head for the Chicago River where you will see every Chicago travel poster come to life.

With the time frame (3:30 to 10PM) the number ONE thing I'd do is EAT GOOD! Depending how casual you like to dress and how much your budget it you can get some awesome meals for under $20 or over $300 all within about a half mile radius of Union Station!
