LOL...they sure do. and it's all over the suburbs. you can take a drive off of Lincoln Highway into Chicago Heights and head south on division (Gangster Disciple territory) or north on Wentworth Avenue (4 corner hustler territory) and see the dope boys on the block doing their thing. that's just one...SUBURB!

I'm not disputing this. All I said was, to be blunt since no one's picking up on it, is that when you see a black person and call him/her Section 8 without any information other than the skin color, that isn't fair. Everyone got that? There are many blacks in Chicagoland who aren't using Section 8 vouchers.
I'm no fan of most of those on the public teat residing in the ghetto. To compare the crimes they commit with the white collar crimes that pop up once every 10 or so years in middle and upper middle class communities is so ludicrous that I just don't know how to address it. It's like when you're standing there looking at a red car and someone comes up next to you and says "it's blue." What do you say to something like that? You don't start describing why the color is red, you just say, "no idiot, it's red!"

Besides the fact of seeing them run to an area of grass to lift a clump up exposing a bunch of white rocks in a bag? the police blotter. the "types" coming up to them. i mean there are countless ways. are you suggesting that the specific areas that I mentioned are devoid of Crack Cocaine? or are you suggesting the crack dealers make house calls to local allies, dumpsters, abandoned buildings, and other places crackheads tend to live? because crack is out there. it may have started in the 80's, with or without the help of the CIA, but the bottomline is just because it is 2008 crack didn't magically go away.

What a naive statement. Maybe, you should blog on a rural thread because your city smarts are truly limited. Or possibly , you should become a public defender to represent these thugs.

I also have seen dope boys in Harvey (off of Wood St, 151st, and Turlington) on the block doing their thing. That's another area although I have no idea of the Gangs that run that block as I have not seen the graffiti that identifies the territory.
As for how do I know about all of this? I grew up in the South Suburbs not to mention I worked the specific area of Harvey, Chicago Heights, etc. as an outdoors salesman for 2 years when i was fresh out of high school going from business to business. and as many of us know, places that are high crime tend to be near industry sectors where more than pollution runs rampant.

I meant to jokingly imply that you were one of their customers. I guess it wasn't very funny.

I'm from Harvey and the gangs don't tag(graffiti) their territory that much. When they do tag graffiti on houses or other public places, most of the time it get removed. The gang that often tag their block/neighborhood are the Latin Kings; their graffitti also get removed within a week or two. As far as drug dealing in Harvey, you will find some dope boys out in the open selling, but alot of times they sell it in their car or in the house/apartments to keep the police off their tracks.

How about this... If you seriously think that he is wrong, I am willing to wager any amount you wish- I will post in an online escrow account and expect you do do the same- that a grossly disproportionate number of Section 8 housing voucher recipients in Chicago are black. I sincerely mean any amount you wish. If you're interested, let me know, and we can go on to define what constitutes "grossly disproportionate" and post the money.
Lets see if you genuinely "don't believe him" or if you're just doing that stupid conversational tactic where someone mentions an unfortunate racial truism that speaks negatively about a particular group of people, and you demand sixteen independent studies in order to halt the dialog.
