Best Condo Building to Live in Downtown?
Can anyone recommend a condo building downtown. Good area, close to food and shopping and MUST be with in walking distance to a Blue Line stop.
1/1 willing to spend 1550/m
So far have found:
Marina City
300 North State Street | Chicago, IL 60654
(kinda run down)
200 north dearborn
Century Tower
182 west lake st
Am I missing any?

It used to be common knowledge back in the 1990's, I don't really know if it's still true.
It is full of studios and 1 bds., and it's close to the hotels and Gibson's etc. It makes total sense.
1050 N, State is the address of Morton's so the building's is probably close to that.

Yeah, there are dozens! It's hard to say what the "best" is. Any of the new high-rises or gut-rehabs along Millenium Park might be my choice in terms of location. It's a piece of cake to get from Michigan Avenue to the Blue Line if you are south of the river.

Try the west loop/fulton gate area ..quite a few condos 'near' the blue line stop on Clinton..out of the 'action' of the previous areas you looked, but newer rehabs or buildings and possibly a little less coin than the ones you've seen ..Plus some are close to the other lines along lake where you could transfer.
