No I just posted that I dont really think people in Chicago have an accent- just because they dont have a southern accent it sounds different to what Im use to hearing but I dont consider it an accent at all.

I do however consider my friend from Wisconsin to have an accent.

Ok so I noticed I accidently left out the word NOT in my previous post- which - lead to the misunderstanding.

The whole "Chicago accent" thing is confusing to me. I've run into maybe a handful of people who have that "Saturday Night Live" accent going on, but other than that? Most people tend to speak in a very flat sense.

The nasally thing I don't hear either. You're really grasping for straws if your only comment is that it sounds "nasally".
Drew Peterson. That's the accent.

It's the "Chicago accent", but most people here don't have it thankfully! If everyone talked like Drew Peterson here, I'd have to move.

Ya, the 'Chicago' accent is more of a novelty than anything else. I always get a big smile on face when I hear it.

I am really curious, I don't know if you've answered this elsewhere, but why are you so obsessed with Chicago? I really would like to know.

Well aren't you also moving to Chicago? You seem more of a Chris Farley kind of lady to me.
