I pushed a hustler at Grant Park once (I was young and dumb). He had been bothering me and my girlfriend (at the time) for what seemed like forever, trying to get me to try his stupid shoe cleaner. Finally I cracked after he told me that it would be free just to try a small spot on my shoe. He stands up and demands $3. I laughed. He then got in my face and threatened to "take it himself". I shoved him to the ground, grabbed his bottle of dish soap and chucked it. He laid there moaning loudly for a minute then started yelling and stood up. By that time my girlfriend and I were 1/2 way back to the parking garage. lol I looked back to see him running towards the bottle I threw.

Good times.

I'd like to point out that my being a tall blond woman in text has sidetracked the thread.

Behold, the power of 3 inch heels and highlights.

"In text" is the key here. She could be a 58 year old man with a hairy back for all anyone else knows...

Default exactly

Yeh, being happy not only means you probably have money, but you are likely in a bit of a daze and not going to be able to easily switch into violent self defense mode.

a few months ago I was walking in the south loop and this guy started talking to my girifriend and I while we were walking. We ignored him for a while just giving one word answers. Well then we came up to a light stopped walking the guy got down on his knees and put a glob of shoe polish on my shoe wtf. I couldnt believe he was that foreword. I just had him wipe the stuff off and I only had a buck in my pocket which I gave him.

Wow... What exactly was that glob he put on your shoe? Never mind, I don't want to know. I prefer the car window washer hustlers over the shoe polisher hustlers... less personally invasive...
