Chicagoland - Ski Equipment?
For those of you that ski, where is a reputable store to purchase (new) some skis and boots? If a more knowledgeable store is up in WI, please suggest it. All recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I can recommend VIKING on Northwest Highway in Barrington. They have been around for many many years. We have purchased there and the area Middle and High School ski clubs use them for all their rentals.

Places closer to Michigan are better
I just started to learn how to snowboard, and I bought all my gear that i needed, at this place in the south burbs, it is conveniently located right off the 294 exit and 127th and Cicero, (Route 50 to u northsiders)

The Vertical Drop in St. Charles is probably the best one around here. According to their website they were voted the #1 ski retailer in the midwest.
