This is a great collection... with women's boots that are attractive yet waterproof and practical...

How do you handle wearing designer shoes in the snow?
I feel your pain, my friend. Really and truly, I do. Here's how I did it, and how a typical day went for me:

Apartment----->Walk on carpet----->taxi----->work.

Sometimes, it was:

Apartment----->Walk to station (that I've seen, the streets were never bad... Chicago has amazing city services for sidewalks)--->stand at station--->destination.

In the 'burbs it could be a nightmare, but honestly spring/summer rains were a greater fear of mine than anything winter threw. In fact, the cold it became the safer my precious, precious shoes were.

In my frame of mind, if I could afford those shoes I could afford to keep them protected. And really, there are so many practical and expensive options for places like Lincoln Park, where you do a lot more walking in distances too short to drive, too long to walk.

I would not wear designer shoes in the snow. NO way. There are plenty of fashionable boots. Unless you are getting car to door service when you go out, get a nice pair of boots and a handbag that is like a classy tote bag that you can carry your shoes and boots in. I either make boots part of my ensemble or I change to the shoes when I get there. I stash my boots in my tote bag by folding them up. Also if I am not wearing boots I wear walking shoes on the street and then change into my nice shoes inside.

I have an extensive, mind-numbingly expansive designer shoe collection. And I don't think that I've ever had problems with Chicago winter.

I mean, yes, if you prance about in designer in snow, they'll get ruined. But I wore heels every. single. day. and never had issues. Even while clubbing, going around on Saturday nights, etc. Shopping and city walking, I still managed just fine

I'm going to interpret this to mean "I have a raging foot fetish, and this is pushing me to the limits of sanity".

No, it means I am sick of stuck up people that have no conception of reality and daily life for 85% of the people that live in our country.
