now this is really starting to get out of hand...i wonder what the cop was doing at the time of the shooting. sometimes, they're just walking or sitting in their car and somone will just pop them off for no reason other than them being a police officer.

sometimes gang members will pop a normal person for being on the wrong block or wearing the wrong colors. At least they get vests and a gun |

He was shot not killed...
A Chicago Police officer's bulletproof vest saved him from serious injury Thursday night in an apparent shoot-out on the Far South Side.
The unidentified officer was hit about 8:30 p.m. in the 13400 block of South Burley, police news affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
The bullet hit his vest, preventing serious injury. He was not hospitalized, said Chicago Fire Department media affairs director Larry Langford.
The alleged shooter suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Langford said.
Police released few details about what prompted the shooting. The Independent Police Independent Police Review Authority was investigating, said spokesman Mark Payne.
