REALLY? What a friggin' surprise! Now, those who have been following my thoughts on this will NOT be surprised, because I have stated that;

A) Rahm KNEW that Blago was/is DIRTY AS HELL

B) Rahm almost certainly had contact with some one from Fitzgerald's office -- for cripes sake the "office of the president elect" is a couple floors over from Fitz's office in Klusinski...

Further, Rahm and Axelrod have learned well from da mare's "firewall" strategy when it comes to actuall bad guys -- Sorich was EXACTLY the kind of firewall that Richie used to insulate himself from any actual "bad dudes". Rahm has those same kind of people that would/ will perform the equivalent of laying on live grenade to make sure that NOTHING touches da boss...

Rahm almost certainly talked to Norris and probably one or more of the Deputy Govs and also was almost certainly asked "what would we get" for the Val Jarret appointment. To which Rahm replied "the gratitude of the POTUS", in patented F You tone...

If Blago had control of his faculties he would NOT have hired a criminal defense lawyer already. He would have used the power of the office of the Govenor to "release an internal investigation" that would have thrown dust in the air. Instead he is running like the scared little vermin that lives inside his head. He is so very doomed...

In somewhat related news, it looks like NOT ALL of Obama's team is completely pulling up stakes and moving to the Star of the Potomac where all their kids will play together at Sidwell Friends. Axelrod is leaving wife & kids in Chicago. This will have some interesting twists as that makes in MUCH more important that the new adminsitration do some things to save their real estate back here in flyover land.
