The Sawyer Address is the furthest from the blue line of all three. At the Cortland address, you can walk to the blue line, it would be about half a mile, but the Sawyer location, you would probably have to take the Armitage Bus to the Western Stop. Something to consider if you are working downtown.

Oops!
Oops I meant the Sawyer address is a little far, but it is right next to Streetside! The Kedzie one is in a GREAT location for both blue line and proximity to things you like.

Safety-wise, I haven't had any problems because there are always people around. I did witness some serious sketch in a very nearby alley, but just turned and walked the other way.
My biggest problem with the address is that Kedzie is quite a busy, noisy street. I'd much much prefer to live just one block east on Troy.
When we were looking to rent, I looked at apartments near the address on Cortland. Knowing that I was going to have to walk home from the El at night, I didn't feel nearly as comfortable in that area as I do near the Kedzie address. And there didn't seem to be as many shops and restaurants within a few blocks.

Know that area well...Kedzie...actually, Troy St. specifically. My grandparents lived on Troy and I spent a LOT of my childhood there. (mind you, my grandmother died in 1971 and the house was sold after that). It was a double lot and there used to be a garage in the back; I saw on my last trip that the garage is gone, just the foundation is left. Either 2914? or 2714...
