The other side to this coin deals with the question of why there are so many white-Asian mixed neighborhoods that get along just fine. And it seems to hold true that White-Asian and Hispanic-Black work much better together than other pairings.

And a big reason for that is the cultural emphasis on education. I've lived in mixed, young, diverse neighborhoods, but when it comes time to raise a family, I'm gone. I have no intention of raising my kids in substandard schools--often violent substandard schools. The fact of the matter is that as a whole, whites and Asians put a lot more emphasis on education than do Hispanics and Black. And as long as that's the case, the economic and cultural conflicts will continue.

You can pretty much follow test score trends, and the more "diverse" a school is, the worse its performance is going to be on standardized tests and school participation.

the percentage of blacks living in poverty is waaay more than whites and it is a proven fact that the lower the income level, the more babies one produces.

Lookout stated that there's only a certain amount of black people to go around so eventually they'll run out. I'm saying that is not the case when you consider the black population is growing at a faster rate than the white population. We've all heard that by 2050, whites will be a minority in this country. Which proves my point.

You might be right, but that stat doesn't prove or disprove it since most of the growth will come from Latinos. I'm just ignorant on the topic but am sure someone knows -- is the BLACK population overall growing appreciably in the country?

regarding black flight, it is a serious issue in southern california. that's why it is ironic that some will argue against white flight when blacks move in but often times blacks offer more resistance, and violence, when latinos move into their neighborhoods and this fact goes completely unheard of. probably because there is no "man" to blame in this scenario.

it's just growing at a faster rate than whites. and latinos is growing faster than all of them! i believe that is why this country is so lax on illegals because they know all the baby boomers will be dying off shortly so they don't mind an influx of a group of people with the highest birth rates in the world! It increases the tax base (illegals pay gas, sales, etc), it lowers the military age (this is a crisis in europe right now as they have the lowest birth rates in the world), etc.
