Depends parts of it are nice....and some, not so nice. I probably wouldn't move there from Ontario. I wouldn't live there either personally. Here's some information on the area and it's pretty accurate.

Are you looking for a certain ethnic group to live around? I mean, honestly CHicago is very segregated, lol. We can literally pick out neighborhoods by the ethnic group. What's your price range? Is diversity a factor for you? Is there anything you want/need to be near or close to?

Well, I'm looking between $300K to $550K. I am african canadian, but I don't care where I live since I love everyone I want to be close to downtown.

From what I know of the south shore it seems to be moving in the right direction....but compared to an interesting suburb in the GTA a relatively short train ride to downtown Toronto it seems like it has a long way to go.
