Ridiculous Anti-Gentrification Flier Passed Out in Uptown... UGH!!!!
This flier occasionally gets passed out in Uptown near the Wilson "L" stop. I'd comment more, but it's so stupid it makes my brain hurt. I was hesitant to post it because it would bring attention to the idiotic group "COURAJ", but the entertainment value is high because of the sheer ridiculousness of it all. I think the organization "COURAJ" is really just a old rabble-rouser lawyer named Marc Kaplan and whatever left-wing college kids he can scrape up in a particular summer.

he is just saying what he feels, maybe he is right maybe he is wrong but thats how he feels, he doesnt want yuppies in uptown and i dont think there is anything wrong with that

I hope the yuppies will buy in Uptown. In fact can I ship some the Bucktown yuppies up there? Especially the twit who used to come around with petitions to get the nasty elotes and ice cream vendors off the street, and banning St. Hedwig from ringing their bells because poor popo couldn't get his rest. (They ring them to mark the hour from 8am to 8pm, and before the masses.)
I say let Uptown be the new city stopping off point for the yuppies before their inevitable move to Northbrook or Glenview.
That being said, this flier is just about as ridiculous. Maybe we could the Uptown Flier Guy together with the Bucktown petition guy.

I suppose if you replaced the world "yuppies" with "blacks", "Jews", or "Mexicans", or "Asians", there would be nothing wrong with that either, right?
BTW, I agree with the annoyingness of the font. |
