Default Since when is 2701 N. Halsted in "Wrigleyville?" That address is not even in Lake View.

As bad as the Tribune is becoming, I do not think they would make such a stupid mistake as the Sun-Times did.

The Sun-Times is worthless now.

This claim by the Sun-Times is like saying Montrose and Broadway is in "Wrigleyville."

The Trib is also notoriously bad for not knowing what's where. They originally reported the Albany Park fire as being in Irving Park (uh, no, Argyle isn't even close, in fact it's on the northern edge of Albany Park) until I wrote them an e-mail about it. Meanwhile, a bar stabbing that happened in Irving Park they reported as being in Albany Park. Anything that happens in Avondale they invariably report as being in Logan Square. I realize some border are a bit nebulous, but one still wonders if any of these staff reporters know anything about the city they're reporting about.

I have had to write a few news sources about mistakes before. I do not think the amount of mistakes we have seen in the last couple of years used to happen even 5 years ago. It is frustrating. These reporters need to get on the ball. Their ignorance or lack of skills is insulting.

Except for the fact that Lincoln Park is more prestigious and expensive than "Wrigleyville"... I'd be pissed if my Lincoln Park condo were listed as "Wrigleyville". Well, if I had a Lincoln Park condo, that is.

But there's some realtor that does!!!! Pensacola Place is in Wrigleyville!!! For realz!!!!!!

Seriously, i don't know why the Sun-Times would flub that up so bad. Either the writer is an idiot, or some editor thought more people would read it if it said Wrigleyville (although I'd be likely to read an article about a car crashing into a restaurant no matter what 'hood it's talking about).

I notice these mistakes all of the time with our local news media. NBC 5 is just as bad.
