The past few weeks has been pretty crazy with the high pressure down south sending the storms riding over our area one after another.

That wild storm a few Friday's ago. The one last Wednesday, Friday morning, early Saturday morning, yesterday morning.

Nothing like a good pourdown August style in the first few days of September. Free car washes for everyone.

The winter storms when the wind drives the lake over the brekers and onto the Outer DRiver are pretty awesome too. When the underpasses are flooded, stoplights not working, tree limbs down, neighborhood power outages and business blacked out - not that is a real Chicago storm worth seeing - especially from Navy Pier.

And then today which is probably the coolest temp day since May! I saw people wearing jackets...Now I do not think there is any reason for that. Maybe tonight though...

Speaking of which!:

Woah

"The National Weather Service on Friday issued rip current and gale warnings for near shore areas in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, where 14-foot high waves were expected overnight and Saturday morning."

Jackets? I was out in a T-shirt and shorts and did just fine.

Much as I was praying for cooler weather like we've had the last couple days, it was a shock to my system when it came. It was just so sudden. Seems like one day I had to run the AC all night just so I could sleep, then the next night I felt like drinking hot tea and taking a nice hot bath.

The cooler weather hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday, but today I found myself adjusting to it better. Maybe because it was sunnier and not quite so windy today.

It is nice to see dewpoints all the way down into the 40s!
