Actually I think there is a fair number of Cambodians in China town, based on overheard conversations on the #62 Cermak bus.

I think Chinatown is 76% Chinese, while the rest is blacks and whites, expecially in the two large high rise apartment buildings. Chinatown is safe in general. The only thing I wish is Chinatown was bigger. Maybe parts of Bridgeport can become part of Chinatown one day.

I have a friend who lives on 29th & Wells, and that area is majority Chinese already.

29th and Wells also isn't Bridgeport. But as has been mentioned upthread, it's already common to see Chinese signage as far southwest as 31st and Halsted.

Yes, technically it's Armour Square, but even on official city neighborhood maps it is shown as part of Bridgeport, and it seems like nobody really calls that area "Armour Square".

Armour Square is a "community area" however.

I did realize that Armour Square is a Community Area. Thanks, though.

I've known 5-6 people who've lived in the Armour Square community area, they all said they lived in Bridgeport. It seems like some of the people who work in some of the restaurants down there refer to it as Bridgeport, too.

City of Chicago - Neighborhood Map

Armour Square's been swallowed up by Bridgeport on the city neighborhood map......
