Not all suburbanites do that. Usually people that don't know the city well only go to downtown or live in one of those far out suburbs outside of Cook County. I don't go to downtown often like that when I go to the city. Plus I don't live far from the borders; so it only take me several minutes to enter Chicago city limits on the southside. I don't get lost often on the southside, but the Northside is still somewhat foreign to me..lol

I'm from the suburbs and have never used the term "Chi-Town" nor do I know anyone that does. I'm not even sure how it's pronounced.
