he's not even chicagoan, he's hawaiian. he just leached onto chicago to further his political agenda. i've got news, his stimulus plan may be socialist but that's because today's American leaders, no matter who they are, are leading in that direction. remember the patriot act? i don't think it gets any more socialist than that...

Our team was never the same since he left, he was a heart and soul type player, but I have a feeling Ozzie never liked him because he was a more of a leader in the clubhouse than Ozzie liked, and Ozzie didn't like that bunt attempt Rowand attempted when he was told to do something else at the 2005 World Series, that sealed his fate with the wizard of Oz...

I think maybe it had more to do with Rowand's sloppy baserunning, combined with his mediocre offensive abilities and penchant for injury, especially when the Sox had two prospects to replace him.

Even though neither of the prospects have reached the expectations set for them, it still makes sense to trade a player from a position of depth to acquire another player where depth is lacking (Thome).

But anyway, what impact do you think Milton Bradley will have this year?
A more vocal AJ Pierzynski?

Who was the guy who took a bat to one of the brats at Miller Park?

Milton Bradley is what the Cubs need. The Cubs were once known as the loveable losers. They were a nice little team with nice guys and would lose. Now, they've become more of a nice little team that wins (I know, minus the playoffs, we all know). They need a little more attitude on this team. They need a guy who could be a jerk. Remember a few years ago when we had Dusty Baker leading the team, we used to have some rough games especially against the Cardinals. We need a guy who would get mad at fired up in the dugout last year when the Dodgers are beating us, not another guy who puts his head down and gets upset.

As long as Milton Bradley doesn't really struggle to start the year (because then uneducated Cubs fans who think it's cool to boo will do just that) then I think he will be a good pick up.

It was an Italian Sausage, and the perpetrator was Randall Simon of Pittsburgh. If he had hit the bratwurst there would have been greater outcry!

*edit* Hmmmm... "Hit the bratwurst" sounds kind of nasty.

Sorry, it will take Obama more than a month to clean up the ENORMOUS mess Bush left. You people are just sad that the Repubs are no longer in charge, and probably hope Obama fails, so you people can say "I told you so". Good enough response for you people? Well, I'm off my soapbox, and out of respect for the other members of this forum, I won't respond to your further political partisan crap posts. Is it me, or does Chicago have a "kick me" sign on its back. Your legacy in politics is corruption alternating with incompetence. Obama scores high in both. Maybe I'd bury my head in the sand, too.
Pipe down, kid. The adults are having a conversation.

This doesn't make any sense.

The Cubs just need to assemble a team with the most talented baseball players, period. The last thing any team needs to do is bring on a 'spark plug' just so fans can see a dugout presence who's inability to control their emotions mirrors their own.
