I doubt that Chicago feels any need for your "pity." Your posts seem to consist
of nothing more than your personal POV and have little to do with anything verifiable. Several posters have requested sources that may have informed your opinions, with no response. I could easily say that the Earth is flat, but that wouldn't make it true. I could be mistaken, but California isn't exactly an exemplar of morality either. It must be frustrating for "you people." That is such a curious turn of phrase...are you intimating that you aren't a person?
That you're above mere mortals somehow? You might be taken more seriously with fewer ill-advised opinions and more sources to back up your
ridiculous contentions. We all know the saying about opinions...

That's right. I think of a Randall Simon/Albert Belle mix when I think of Milton Bradley.

Yep. I don't see his leaving as a huge loss to the Sox, but if he stays healthy he will be a big addition to the Twins. Anything that is good for the Twins is inherently evil.

Thanks for the astute and concise assessment. The answer seems to become more apparent with every passing day. I second the motion to let this useless and unnecessary thread go into Cheyne-Stokes breathing and finally just die.

As obnoxious as it can be seeing how consistently good the Twins organization is, I could never get myself to really hate the Twins. Same goes for the rest of Minnesota's teams.
I guess its because Minnesotans are just too darn nice.
So, if Crede has a good year, good for him. The Sox needed to move on, and since they're unlikely to be serious playoff contenders this year, I think I can take seeing Crede help out the twins. I think.

Let's keep in mind that not everyone in Chicago or IL loves Obama or voted for him. (I didn't)
While I certainly hope that he is successful in getting the US economy back on track I do strongly disagree with his 'redistribution of wealth' and fiscal policies. Most wealthy people in this country didn't get there because they were lucky or inherited it, they got there because they worked their asses off, sacrificed, fought, scratched and clawed their way to a position where they can enjoy the fruits of their labor. So how's Obama reward them for their effort? He takes MORE of their money they worked so hard to obtain and gives it to those 'less fortunate'?
If he wants to limit how much a CEO can make, I also want him to limit how much an actor in Hollywood can make (because they get tax incentives to film in certain cities), how much a doctor can make (because they accept tax money in the form of medicare/medicaid) and athletes (because many ballparks are subsidized with tax money). On the other hand, you can let the free market work and everyone gets the chance to make as much as possible.

Unfortunately, a large portion of my wealth was "redistributed" into oblivion because of the lax regulations on Wall Street and the banking industry. My two largest assets--my home and my 401K--have been decimated. That's why people really aren't so concerned about the supposed "socialism" in the bailout/stimulus bills. We just want to keep our jobs and our homes. Having taxes restored to 2001 levels on the most wealthy Americans hardly sends a shiver through the populace.

Thank you sir, may I have another?
Opening next year with extra special soft dirt around 3rd base...
