Speaking of which, Oak Park just renewed their Premium Account. We can continue promoting it to any and every person who ever asks a question about moving to Chicago.

My partners and I debate this one a lot. On the one hand, it's not really defamation of character... until they begin altering reviews. When that happens, if that's true, it is purposeful manipulation of someone's public image. In this case it may very well be that these businesses can prove that an alteration of their image was premeditated and financially harmful. I'd like to see where this one goes

I heard this and it made me sad. I am addicted to yelp, but think it might be time to wean myself off of it.

Many of the people who contribute reviews seem young and callow. Not the kind of people whose opinions I'd regard. On the other hand the young and callow are a huge market and there's plenty of dough to be made catering to the buggers.

LOL!
At the battle of Missionary Ridge in 1863 the Federal Army of the Cumberland broke the Rebel center and sent it scattering in panic. One weary and disspirited Rebel decided to quit running and plunked himself down on the ground where a jubilant Illinoisan soon ran up, grabbed him by the collar and crowed "I got ya!"
"Yeah" the disgusted Rebel replied "and it's one Hell of a git you got".
