May he rest in peace. Stormin' Norman will always be remembered as a Chicago Bull great.

I couldn't believe he was only 61. He looked like he aged a lot in the last few years. R.I.P.

I never knew Norm Van Lier as a player, but I am a die - hard Bulls fan and he just seemed like such a good guy. So much passion and so much energy. So many great stories today about how he just always cared for others whether it be just talking to someone randomly about the Bulls or buying dinner for all of the interns and everyone on the Comcast show.

There were also a ton of stories about how Norm has been pretty down about things lately - his health, being away from his family, friends passing away recently - I am by no means saying that this is what happened, but I really hope that he didn't take his life.

It's a sad day as a Bulls fan. Time to put up #2 in the rafters at the United Center!

RIP Norm- I used to listen to him on the radio on my way to school back in 96-98. 61 is way to young to die- RIP Norm you'll be missed... I think Norm as a player to hit a 96 foot (???) shot in regulation- for a while it was the longest shot ever made.

As much as I have respect for him as a player and analyst,I will miss him the most for his love of Rock N' Roll and his DJ work as well as commentary on music.

He was a really nice guy with a great mind.

This man could not be pigeonholed.
