Nice photo Ghengis
Yeah, when I was a kid the Prudential Building and the Board of Trade were the dominant buildings on the skyline. When the First National Bank went up in the 60s it was a big deal.

You guys would get a kick out of the Charles Cushman archive
Charles W. Cushman Photograph Collection >> Home
You could spend weeks combing through those gems (Chicago and otherwise). And all in brilliant Kodachrome! Just goes to show digital still dosent hold a candle to good slide film.

Cushman loved those '50's southside ladies.
While I'm not saying the Children's museum in Grant Park is a great idea - it's helpful to remember that, for some of those "Grant Park should be forever open and clear!!!" advocates - it was a surface lot 40 years ago. It's not like they're trampling on a century of greenspace. They're taking the existing building footprint that's only been there for 30 years.

Anybody got some old pictures of the Chicago skyline?
like from the 1990's/80's and earlier? I'm kinda interested. Thanks.
This one just blew me away, it doesn't even look remotely like the same city I grew up in and know today.
