Has anyone else eaten here? I went tonight and it was wonderful! 3 course prix fix meal for $17.95 and cheap wine.... REALLY good food! I just heard about it and I live 5 blocks away!

Wierd name - ropa means "clothes" in Spanish. I just went to Reza's in Andersonville for the first time last night. Another really good restaurant (Middle Eastern.) They have a great buffet.

heard it mentioned at work ... Is it spanish/latin am, cuban, ecelctic ?? I thought there was a cuban dish "ropa del" something that was similiar to pulled pork ...

Good discovery ... I'll se if the LTH foodhounds have sniffed it out yet ..

Nope, not mexican or anything similar. It has a mediterian flare (and I'm too lazy to spell :-)

There's ropa vieja (literally "old clothes") that is shredded flank steak simmered in a moderately spicy tomato-based sauce. It's frequently served on an Italian-style bun as a sandwich, especially at the Cuban sandwich shops.
