Correct. But the name of the team is the Blackhawks. Should we still call the Bears the Staleys?

I wonder if the bulls and cubs and white sox experienced this massive bandwagon jump on. I suppose if this creates and sustains more hawks fans in the end who cares right? At least I jumped on before 99% of the people out there.

Go Hawks!
I agree completely. Most new fans disgust me. They NEVER cared for the Hawks until they reached the Playoffs last year and the Cup Finals this year. This is FAAAAAR worse than when the Sox won the WS... Sox "fans" came out of the woodwork. For the first time in my life, Im ashamed of Chicago's "fans". This Hawks bandwagon is ridiculous. RIDICULOUS! My thug-wannabe next door neighbor just rushed out and bought himself a new Edge Toews jersey. How cute. The moron wore it out for dinner yesterday when it was 85 degrees out. His comment to his wife when she asked why he was wearing it? This is classic. The bandwagoner looks at her, tugs on his jersey and shows the Indian Head to her and says "see dis? Dis gets respect!"

I wanted to laugh my nuts off. Frickin POSERS! Get off the bandwagon if you dont truly care for the Hawks.

Nice to see the Flyers are just as dirty as their fans and their city are.

You guys are ridiculous. The Hawks franchise was close to collapse just a few years ago, and it's great for the team to have new fans piling on. Maybe some of them will continue to be fans for decades. Maybe they will go back to ignoring the Hawks as soon as they suck again. Either way, more hockey fans in Chicago is a good thing.

Well, at least I'll be able to say I've seen a Stanley Cup in person for game 5.

For the record, I'd rather sit next to a 'bandwagon fan' over some holier than thou fan like Steve. Few things are more obnoxious.

Also, why the hell is Sopel getting so much ice time? Campbell doesn't look hurt, and he's a hell of a lot more valuable against an aggressive forecheck than a guy whose main skill is an uncanny ability to get hit by pucks. Steve, quit whining about what you've whined about for 3 years and answer me.

I've been to a half-dozen Hawk games in the past few years, including one this year.

I also attended one game in March 2007, and there were ACRES of unfilled seats. I literally had my choice of several THOUSAND places to park my hind quarters. The balcony was virtually empty. The Second City comedy troupe was making jokes about hockey attendance.

The upshot: Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
