For the occasional drive, I say I-Go is better for me at least.
All Zipcar plans do not include any free hours. I-go has a plan called GO Budget which includes 3 free hours a month for $15.00. It is good if you know you’ll drive at least 3 hours every month for the next several months.
Plus I-go is non profit, Chicago based, and takes green initiatives.

So im filling out the I'Go App right now. Does anybody want me to use them as a referring member? I dont know if you get anything for it but usually it entails some kind of rebated for the referrer.

iGo is also a non-profit, if that matters to anyone. I'd lean towards supporting them as they are locally based, the same way I encourage people to shop at Walgreens instead of CVS, as we need management/high-paying jobs in Chicago, not just subsistence-level service ones, and a local company is usually more responsive to the needs of the area.
