Yea thats how the cameras work. For instance if you are making a left hand turn make sure you are out in the intersection if you are going to make that move. The cameras work by sensors that essentially run a laser across the intersection. Once the light turns red, the laser is turned on. If you cross that laser you activate the camera. The city probably gives out a TON more than the burbs, but our tickets cost $300 a pop
