Thanks Drover! And thanks to everyone who has been so helpful! As for you Wine Snob, it doesn't seem to me that it is such a stupid thing to ask where you can find one of your favorite foods from back home. It would be like you going to another city and asking where you can find Chicago deep dish pizza... but oh wait you're probably too sophisticated for pizza anyways...

That's it. On my way to the Blackhawks game, I must stop at Mr. Greek's for a gyros. I've been craving one but that put me over the edge

Does anyone know where to get Tacos De Canasta(aka tacos in a basket , steamed tacos) on the Northside? I'm in Edgewater.

Thanks

I am looking for an Arizona burrito in the Chicagoland area. It is simply steak, potatoes, cheese, pico and sometime sour cream. I have been raving one for years and can't find one anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find one, preferably on the south side?

El Cid is a good one. Also a huge fan of Irazu, although that's Costa Rican. I really miss the old Ixtapulzaco as it was close, the guy has reopened/combined that with another restaurant called the Real Tenochtitlan, anyone tried it?

If you have food questions, check out LTHforum.com. The people on that forum know a lot more about food than the jokers who post here. Yeah, I'm one of the jokers.

Man I first made that Burrito when I was like 13 on my own. Little did I know it was actually part of Arizona cuisine!
